About a year ago, our journey took us to a Midlands based construction company with a labour requirement for a substantial groundworks project in Portsmouth. This partnership came from a recommendation by a trusted site engineer who was already well acquainted with our reputation for delivering reliable skilled labour. Our client, a Midlands based company boasting an annual turnover of £15 million, specialises in groundworks, civil engineering, and construction projects. Their quest for a partner to provide top tier labour in the Portsmouth area led them to us. Their requirements included a working foreman and up to 18 additional operatives, segmented into three and four-man teams, each equipped with essential qualifications such as SSSTS and CPCS/NPORS.
The project’s scope was nothing short of extensive. SLS undertook the responsibility of delivering full external works, which included draining, kerbing, paving and the installation of a substation base and ducting. This ambitious project demanded a diverse skill set and a committed team of operatives to ensure execution at the highest standards.
